After an abysmal showing against the San Francisco 49ers, Aaron Rodgers once again gave the indication that he has what it takes to lead this team to victory. The problem is, it's getting hard to tell which A-Rod will step on the field at any given moment.
Against the Broncos, Aaron completed 18 of 22 passes for 193 yards. That comes out to 10.7 yards per completion.
Stats like that are good enough to win games. The ugly part is, a good showing like that was enough to move him solidly into...
30th place in the league with a passer rating of 92.3.
The Green Bay Packers need to find and antidote to Mr. Hyde to make sure he stays in the locker room and assure that it's Dr. Rodgers leading the team this year.
In other aspects of the game the Packers also looked pretty good. The receivers didn't drop nearly as many passes as they did against the 49ers.
The offensive line did a better job protecting Rodgers. That was critical. So, far this preseason, the Packers have sacked the opponent one time. Compare that to the 10 times the Packers have let teams sack their quarterbacks and it's painfully obvious that something needed to change. The good news is... it did.
In the red zone, the offense was able to score three out of four times for an impressive 75% red zone efficiency. That's going to be critical. We're not going to blow out very many teams this year unless this team really starts clicking. We're going to need to be very consistent in the red zone.
We've made it through another game that has given us some hope that the team will be able to put several wins on the board. The question now is, which team will show up next?
